First off, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU EVERYONE for all of the help and resources. I am SO happy with how everything is working right now. I can play DotA at a solid over 100 FPS Maxed out at 1080p on my MacBook Pro, with my laptop being powered, mouse, keyboard, and monitor getting data all through 1 cable! Absolutely incredible! Couldn't have set it up without you guys to help.
Anyway, I am trying to optimize a bit further if possible! I have an Alienware 240hz monitor, so I'd like to get closer to 240fps if possible!
Nov 6, 2015 - When most people think of 'gaming computers,' they're probably thinking. You can use to optimize your Mac to have the best gaming experience. Play all of those games unavailable on OS X. Using Boot Camp Assistant,.
I have my MacBook Pro wired to the Aorus eGPU, and then a DisplayPort wired to the Monitor. I also have Mouse, Keyboard, and Microphone wired through the rear ports on the Aorus. 1080 running 390.77 drivers. I really don't want to mess anything up but it would be great if anyone has any simple ideas to boost me even further.
Would disabling my internal display and just having the external monitor running help with FPS any noticeable amount? I plan on just doing a clamshell type thing anyway. Thanks in advance guys for any ideas.
